I only have the first game of the series but I think it's great. Is anybody else a fan of this series? I started playing the first game again yesterday and still think it's great fun. I need to get the second game sometime because I have heard many great things about it. I was going to get a newer one but I doubt my computer would play it (it needs a better graphics card). I have always been into games like this, history fascinates me and this is a good way to learn how they did things back then. You need to be thinking all the time when you play this otherwise you might slip up in a bad way. It's a great strategy game and if you haven't played it before, you should because they are a great set of games.
I think you can buy the whole collection on one disc now which is better yet. I think I am going to have to purchase that!
Thoughts and opinions on this wonderful series!

Age of Empires 2, and it's expansion. Absolutely mind blowing. They were the single greatest RTS games around for at least like 10 years or whatever. In my opinion, Dawn of War is the only RTS game to surpass it. Dawn of War is about to bring out it's 3rd Expansion. (Dawn of War - commonly referred to as Vanilla, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, and 'Soulstorm' is about to be released.
Anyways, you should really get your hands of AoE2. It's an incredibly fun game to LAN. On the last day of school once We had an 8 player match that lasted around 6 hours. My team was dominating. I used to be by far the best player in the school - but I havn't played it since I got Dawn of War.
Heh, call me RTS Seltox *flexes* |

Oh, I already have it lol. It's quite fantastic in my opinion, much better than the first. I was going to get AoE3 but I know it won't work on my computer because it is a piece of trash! Age of Empires 2 is a very entertaining and detailed game! It can be rather challenging as well, I'm no good at it yet considering I haven't won a game yet haha.
I love it though, it's a gem. _________________

| AoE3 isn't as good as AoE2 apparently. If anything, buy the conquerers expansion. It has reseed farm! (Just select your mill, and queue up like 30 farms. When your farm gets exhausted, your villager automatically reseeds it ,as long as you have some queued up!) Best thing about the expansion :P |

I loved all the AOE I have played, as well as their AOM game, they were all great games, with great gameplay, and just greatness overall, well at least the PC versions. I have the DS version of AOE Age of Kings, and it's not that great.
the PC AOE is great... and was one of my first Video games, I grew up a little on AOE, so I loved it (although I was always cheating) _________________ I am now 2000 points away from top on Reptillia on GH3 on the PS3, currently 6th place of all PS3 Reptillia players

| Yeah I liked Age of Mythology. My friends weren't all that impressed with it though. I loved how different all the races could be, with the god choices and stuff. |

I was going to get Age of Mythology but I didn't know if it would be as good or not, it does look rather great though. Ancient history has always interested me so maybe I will give it a go. AoE isn't just a game, you can actually learn things from it as well. It's very interesting and they're great for a lot of ages. It is a bit violent but not overly. _________________
