There are a few different types of Materia in Final Fantasy VII. They are for different purposes. Which one do you prefer?

Command Materia - This is the non-magic Materia. Your character's can learn basic but effective abilities. Some of these include; Steal, Manipulate, Mime, Morph and Sense.

Independent Materia - These Materia possibly give a character more HP, MP or even more ability points. Some of these abilities may include; HP Plus, Mega All, Luck Plus, MP Plus and Pre-emptive.

Magic Materia - These are for learning magic spells. There are many different Magic Materia so that your characters can learn a variety of different spells. Some of these include; Lightning, Ice, Heal, Poison, Fire and Demi.

Summon Materia - These Materia summon monsters. You can summon these during battle to help you out. Some include; Leviathan, Neo-bahamut, ChocoMog, Hades, Ifrit and many more.

Support Materia - These only work when they are paired with another Summon, Magic or Command Materia. They add more abilities when they are paired together.

Which one did you like best or found most useful? I liked Magic Materia the best. The magic was always useful and there were a large variety of different spells which was pretty cool. Summon Materia was awesome as well, the Summons were quite strong and effective during battle.

erm i dunoo, i liked summon materia but it cost too much mp to summon all the time, lol, but ye they wo really usfull and cool, i loved the magivc matria, i mean i'm used to playin on ff8 were it runs out lkol, so ye the change is realkly gd for me. lol.

I likem all, but overall I like summoning materia. I used alot of healing materia in the game. But Vincent was always summonin for me which was equally useful. I think summoning for me!

i liked the magic materia the best, once you got them high levels and with an all materia it would rock...and some more adavnced materia like Demi or Bio, i would love to use those over and over

One of my favourite materia in the game was the command materia Steal, because you could get Mug from it. The All materia is also one of the best being able to make magic materia up to 8 times more powerfull overall.

my favorite would have to be summon followed by command materia.

I liked or rather like; Mega all materia, a materia which lets you hit all enemies at once. The fact that you can simply mix any materia and create loads of different combinations is work of pure genius. My fav is either Final attack -Phoenix or WSummon -Knights of the Round.

Summon materia is what every one's saying... and there's no doubt why.... summons hurt

independant.... all I saw it from was Seph here.... btw seph.... more info

independant was good cause you could easily buff your guys, without casting anything... and that extra HP is nice, and MP.... the independant really works with a really awesome spell with all on it

Enemy skill was my faviorite piece in the game.
