I love the eighties. There were so many bands back then! I was only born in 1988 but I love listening to the classics. My favorite band of all time is Guns n' Roses. I am a fan of hair bands or glam rock. The eighties were a colourful decade with many memorable songs, some embarrassing to remember some you are proud to remember!
Are you a fan of this decade? A lot of fantastic music was made and given to us in this time. What do you think? Do you like the music from the eighties or would you rather forget this time and think about the present. I actually prefer the eighties to now!
When I think of the 80's, I think of Boy George and WHAM singing crazy songs that you can dance around to. I also think of rockin' out to Van Halen or Bon Jovi.
Your thoughts? :o

Yup I'm a big fan of the decade. For 1 we were both born then =D. But yeah great music, and culture then especially. I like alot of bands from then, but the variety made it great fun. But hey if I could go back to then, then yeah who wouldn't? _________________

The eighty's were fantastic! They were just so fun and cheesy and colourful, but they also brought some great rock ballads and that. I think it was really the decade of the power ballad.
I have alot of 80's music hanging around. Bananarama, Robert Palmer, The B-52's, Right Said Fred [Shock horror XD], even Cyndi Lauper XD. A definite change from my usual style, but I love them.
Also, it was where the Cure really started to blossom. I love the Cure, they're one of my favourite bands, and thank god, they're still going. But without the 80's they wouldn't be going as strong. All hail. _________________

I like the 80's a lot, well... their music that is... but most of what I like form the 80's is their rock.... (what else) I am playing Guitar hero rocks the 80's right now, and there is not a song on that game that I do not like, allthough some are weird, I like all of em... but bands on that game ranges bands from Accept to X..... and everything in between.. well.... 18 and Life by Skid Row is probably the onlty real slower song.... but I still like it, it's actually one of my more faorite songs on the game... so definately 80's music was awesome, as well as the 70's music.... all that rock was awesome... 80's music ROCKS _________________ I am now 2000 points away from top on Reptillia on GH3 on the PS3, currently 6th place of all PS3 Reptillia players

well if anyone knows me well enough, then they would know that i was born to be an 80s child. neary everyone of my favorate bands are from the 80s; the cure, genesis, jefferson starship, and phil collins. even though the 50s gave birth to rock and the 70s gave birth to old school metal. the 80s started a revolution in music like no other, most all music with the exception of rap and country are now influenced by one form or another of the 80s today. for example, look at the cure. popular bands today like 30 seconds to mars, good charlotte, and kill hannah all have their greatest insperation from the cure.
P.S. i like genesis' version of land of confusion much better than disturbed's, fight me if you dare! |

I love the 80's yeah. So much good stuff was released then (But it's also when all the horrible pop began to make an appearance). Still, can't beat the 60's in my opinion. Hendrix and Zeppelin.
