I made this topic at TFF but thought it would be good to start it up here as well. I'm not talking about the ending of the game by the way, I am talking about Selphie's limit break 'The End'. My question to the members who have played the game is, have you been lucky enough to use this limit break? What did you think of it overall?

I haven't been lucky enough to use it, I have never been able to find it in the list which sucks. I saw a video the other day of what it looks like and I must say it's pretty awesome. I suppose you sometimes have to spend a lot of time finding it in her list of limit breaks. If you have a PS1 you can open the lid while searching so that the enemies won't attack you, you will have all the time in the world! I did that once or twice and still had no luck.

Does this limit break work against all bosses or is it only a certain amount it can kill? I wouldn't know. Lol1

Iv done selphies limit, The end, its not that great.. its long and great to watch but it can b frustrating when she uses it aginst the undead which of course it has no effect. On any living creature its a very powerful spell, instant death.
I used it on ultimat wpn, the fight didnt last long.. i cant remember much about the game now as iv just forgotten, i used aura's or somthing to get the limit up.
I can understand why you like it sooo much, i found it by luck the first time, as i dont read walkthroughs for the first time i play a game.

The End only works on some bosses (Weapon and Jumbo Cactuar) other bosses (Sorceress and Seifer) It doesn't work on, personally, when it comes to monsters, Quistis' Degenerator works much better, because you don't have to wait for it to come up on the slot, instead it's on a list on her blue magic, allthough if you want to kill optional bosses, it usually works... I used Degenerator MUCH more then I used The End

I have used The End twice, once agains a useless monster in Disc one and once against Jumbo Cactuar

I've used The End once against Diablos a really long time ago. It does destroy just about anyone if not everyone.

Haha yeah, Phoenix downs are really effective against the undead.. they wipe them out in one go. I also like to use X-Potions or just about any cure item or magic that you might have.

I presumed that it came up more when she was in a very weak state but never bothered to try because by the time I would find it, the boss or enemy would kill her off. I don't have a PS1 so I can't lift the lid and take my time. I do have a PS2 slim which may be able to do the same thing but I'm not sure if it actually works with that. From all the times I've tried, I've found nothing except Rapture and The Wall. Not the end! I'm going to try and find it one day..!

You know.. if u had trouble finding it and it was too much hassle, u could just use action replay and get The End' that way. It comes as a spell but u cant junction it with anything unlike Apocalypse. I'll only cheat until I've conquered the game and done all the stuff.

The animation was pretty lame (kinda like Devour) but its quite usefull since it even works on Boss...

Thats how i always defeat Diablo as soon as i get the lamp.
