Talk about metal in this thread. Likes and dislikes. Favorite bands and bands that just need to be shot. Anything and everything about the best type of music can be talked about here.

I think you may want to add a bit more to your opening posts... like say what you agree with and disagree with... anyways

I think that the best 2 metal bands are Black Sabbath and Iced Earth.... allthough I don't know much about Iced Earth at all.. I like their music....

Black Sabbath Is Ozzy, the guy who overdosed on almost ever drug out there, he should be dead.... but he isn't....I don't really approve of Ozzy Osbourne.... but the music.... is great...

and I am pretty sure it's metal... but I am not 100% sure, but I don't really like Dragonforce, their music is almost sloppy sounding, they probably couldn't play a really slow sounding song on the guitar because of their mesh of notes.... they never change their pitch and all their songs sound the same

Yeah, Iced Earth is pretty cool. They have a fairly nice sound. Black Sabbath is alright for how old it is. I think Ozzy should have stayed with them. I don't think his music is quite as good as it was back then. And don't get me started on Dragonforce. They are a talented bunch, but not when they play together. Take away the singing and it just might sound alright.

My favorite bands are Dimmu Borgir, Twisted Evil

Dragonlord, Dissection, and Emperor. I recently attended a metal show the other night and there was a fairly new band on stage called Pyre. These guys kicked so much ass. They play really well and they had the whole crowd of about 40 people on their feet, shakin their heads, and melting their faces. I hope these guys make it big.

I even thought I did, anyway... I am more into symphonic music than anything else, such as Symphonic Black Metal. It is a epic mixture of classical music, chaos and the sounds of the very gates of hell. Mr. Green

Ozzy is so ruined of the drugs now, and the mere sight of him makes me sad. I like his music a lot, I've listened to it for more than a decade and I think he was just as great in Sabbath as he was solo.

Other bands I listen to are Old Man's Child, Emperor, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, Dark Throne, Sepultura (pre-Derek Green stuff, he totally blows and ruined the band and possibly the entire Thrash genre), Pantera (!), Obituary and many, many others.

Some of the artists I love include Frost (drummer in many bands like 1347 and Satyricon++), Shagrath (vocals for Dimmu Borgir+), Abbath (vocals, guitar for Immortal, I++), Galder (Guitars, bass, vocals and synth in Dimmu Borgir and Old Man's Child+), Max Cavalera (vocals, guitar for Sepultura, Soulfly).
