Aeris died? It was a very intense moment when Sephiroth put his sword through Aeris' body and leaving her to die with Cloud standing right in front of her. Did you find this sad or were you happy about it?
For me, I found it pretty sad. She was my favorite character and Sephiroth had to go and kill her! :( The music score they played when she died made it very emotional to watch, no I didn't cry! The scene where Cloud puts her into the water was really sad to. It was just horrible for the others because they tried to protect her but they failed... :(
What did you think?

| I found the scene very sad. It was sad but I knew what was gonna happen so I kinda was ready for it when I saw it happen. Though I knew it was gonna happen it was still a very emotional and intense scene. Overall it was rather sad but still drove the story even deeper than it already was. |

It is most certainly the saddest scene in FFVII and the music really adds to the mood. Whenever Aeris Theme comes on my MP3 player i always feel sad.

Yes, Aeris' theme is quite depressing to hear. That scene is very sad and I felt very sorry for not just her, Cloud as well. Well, I felt sorry for the whole group. They tried their hardest to protect her but it didn't work. She was only young too which makes it even worse!
I know a lot of people were happy to know that she died because they found her to be a very annoying character. I thought she made the game entertaining, she was bubbly when she was around Cloud which was sweet. _________________

I completely agree. When she died it was very emotional. The musical score was done very tastefully, and it added to the sadness of the scene. It was sad but then i remembered that they wouldnt have been able to save the world if she didnt die. But yes it was sad. _________________ "Its the emotion in the things you do that affects the ones around you." |

Krazyamy, posting off topic is spamming, and you just spamed. Spamming is against the rules and if you keep breaking them you will probably get banned.
Anyway, back to the topic.
Yes, I was really sad. It's a pity when a main character dies. It doesn't matter if that happens earlier or later on the game. It's still a pity. Also, Aeris was one of the best female character in FFVII (if not even the best), and also, she was one of the nicest females in the whole FF series.
************SPOILER*************
But there have been several deaths in the FF series. Aeris was neither the first who died, nor the last. Other maincharacters, like the White Mage Minwu, the Prince of Kashuan Scott, Josef. the Dragoon Ricard, Auron and many more have also passed away. _________________

Heh, I might sound like a little sissy when I say this but I actually shed a few tears on that scene, seriously.
It was due to combination of the fact the she was one of the main members of my party and my favourite and I didn't have the slightest clue that she was going to die. So when it happened I was totally shocked, it was like losing a family member because FF7 had totally consumed my for the time I was playing it. At the time nothing else mattered. I even quit my job of delivering leaflets so I could spend more time playing the game. (I was only 14, so it wasn't that big a deal)
No other Final Fantasy has made me respond that way, although I was less mature then. _________________

It would have been more emotional if someone hadn't spoiled the whole damn event by telling me it was going to happen. -_- The shock factor was a big part of the impact and since I didn't have that, it wasn't as moving to me. Sure it was sad, especially with the music playing all through the boss battle, but I wasn't really affected too much. That's why I hate people who spoil game events for me. It completely ruined the atmosphere for such a tragedy.
