What is it you think that make Final Fantasy VII and X the most popular of all FF's? I mean there are so many differant ones to choose from but from general populace those are the main 2 you hear. What is it that makes them so well known you think?

Personally I think it's the characters. The stories are good, but characters like Cloud and Cloud are so strong. They stand out from others and set the story to be something of their own.

Well how about you.

hm, i think people like vii because of the caractors and its freash new story line, also the wepons are, common, but with a differance, like, a gun, baraet had a gun, but its different in the way that he has it attached to his, arm, and a sword cloud's sword is slightly different as it is a lot larger. also this is the first ff that has the fully 3d'd movment style, all the previos were, well flat. lol. erm x....hmm, i think people like x, because of the exsalent grathics, and the range of caritors and the fact you can use all the carictors in batle and not just the ones selected, also u can choose witch atrabutes are improved and witch abilatys you wish to learn, also the fighting style, the way that there is tern based fighting, i think people like to have tiome to sel;ect what they want to do, and then watch it.

to be honest i thoughtit was vii and viii that were the most populer? well w/e lol i'm interested in listening to other people's veiws, so go for it!

Again...lacking enthusiasm for VIII. I would have to say what makes an RPG truly stand out are its characters. While X made a good attempt, there were so many characters that remained static--there was hardly any change in the pitch of Tidus's whining throughout the game, and while there were changes in Yuna, you don't get the full grasp of that until X-2. As for VII, as much as I enjoyed the game, there were only a few characters that actually changed in the storyline...fluff characters like Yuffie stayed the same consistently, even when you took her to Wutai. I think what makes a game truly great is watching the characters change as things happen to them...so please don't give me too much crap for knocking a couple of the best made rpgs...I just think as a person who plays video games, you have to admit the bad as well as the good.

What makes Final Fantasy VII so popular? Well I believe it's the characters. A lot of people seem to like Cloud, I'm not exactly sure why. I don't find him very interesting really lol. He was a good character and all but I just don't see how he is greater than everyone else. Everyone has their opinions so they can like Cloud. Also, many people seem to be obsessed with Sephiroth. They claim he is the greatest video game villain ever. He could be, but I believe Kefka was a lot more cruel than he was. Kefka was completely insane! He didn't care for anyone, except himself.

Maybe it's the storyline that makes VII popular. I'm not exactly sure what made this game so popular. The Materia system was unique and great to use. The locations in the game were quite detailed and dark which was quite awesome.

Final Fantasy X is popular for it's graphics and characters. Since this game was the first FF game to be released for PS2, tht could be one of the reasons why. The characters were all unique and they even included many different races which made it even better. There was talking dialogue which was great, we didn't have to read it anymore!

Both of these games are great but it depends on the person on which one is better. Everyone has different opinions on what they like so you are going to get many different responses. Some people may disagree and say that FFVI and VIII were the most popular as well. There are so many different opinions out there!

Each game is unique and everyone has different tastes. Out of these two games though, I prefer X. It's my second favorite Final Fantasy. The ending was really great! :D
