A: There are in fact two ways of getting the Zodiac spear. One way you can get unlimited amounts (Yes! Zodiac spears all round!).

First: I think it's in the Henne mines, once you have 10 espers you have to talk to one of the Garif guys, and he will unlock a deeper part of the Henne mines. There is a chest inside the deeper part that has a 10% chance of appearing. It then has a 10% chance of containing and item rather than gil, and a futher 10% chance of containing the Zodiac spear, rather than an Elixir.

So overall, a 1/1000 chance of getting it (But the chest respawns!). Go back and forth between the chest 3000 times and you're expected to get 3 Zodiac spears! (Enough for constant use!)

The more common way of getting the Zodiac spear is from a chest in the Nechrohol of Nabudis. There are some chests (4 I think. The chest across from Dalan's house, the chest in the Nalbina dungeon where you find your gear, Can't remember the next one, and one of the chests on the beach near the hunters camp). If you do not open any of the chests, the zodiac spear has a 100% chance of being there Smile
