Well, there are many different GF cards in the game. You say you have Quezacotl, Ifrit, Shiva, Diablos, Eden and Pandemona... correct?
Well some of the GF cards are difficult to get. Some of them aren't too hard to get so let's see what ones you haven't got.
Siren: You have to win two card games against the pub owner in Dollet. He will play it to you then and you can try to win it off of him.
I'm thinking you have Sacred and Minotaur since you get their cards when you defeat them.
Gilgamesh: You can get his card from the CC Group King.
Carbuncle: Participate in the Balamb Garden Club Card Quest. Win a card game against Heart to receive the card.
Leviathan: Win a card game against Joker in the training area in discs one, two and three, or on the Ragnarok in disc four.
Alexander: You can get that from Piet on the Lunar Side Base.
Phoenix: Win a card game against the Aide in the Presidental Palace in Esthar during the Card Queen Quest.
Doomtrain: Win from the pub owner in Dollet during the Card Queen Quest.
There are other as well, most of the information I got from this site. It has a list of all the cards you can get in the game. I hope it helps you out.

Yes, some of the cards are quite difficult to obtain. I have been having a lot of trouble trying to get Seifer's card off of Cid. The rules are insane and I can't seem to ever win against him! If anybody has any hints for winning against him, please post them in here. I would really like to get that card for my collection!

cid.....well i always try to beat him when he gives me the magic lamp, that way its basic card skills being used. i just play a lot of cards befor hand and then beat diablos and use them to beat him down!! lol

Well, I started playing Final Fantasy VIII again last night and I just received the Lamp from Cid. I never try to defeat Diabolos until later on in the game because I'm rather slack! Does anybody have any idea on how to defeat him straight away? I can't do it!
I have heard of drawing Demi from him and casting back on him again. I'm trying to draw Demi from him but it keeps failing! :( Is there something I have to do before I can draw magic off of him or what?
It's probably something simple but I have no idea at the moment! :(

lol. i always defeat him straight away, al i do is stock up on as much magics of the same kind as possible straight away, then junction it to give yourself a major power boost, then when u start to fight him, blind him, it stops him from using his direct attack, then draw demi from, him, it takes a couple of trys but then cats it, it takes of loads at first, but then after a while stop using it, because it does less and less dammage each time, then just slice and dice, when he uses demi on u keep your health low and get squalls rokojenkin and slice him up, he cant kill u cos he's blind and his demi only takes of either half or a quater of your health so he cant kill u, so if he does get u then just bring them back with phenixdown. gd luck l8r!

Well, the trick with the Demis always works. I don't know why you can't draw them from him. I think you should just try until you finally succeed. Just keep drawing and stock them. Then Cast them on your next turn, and he will use Curaga on you.
I always fight him, right after I get the Magical Lamp. He is easier, because he is low level.
If you still can't draw from him, then you are going to need a bit of luck to beat him. I advise you to use Irvine and Selphie. Also, you should have some Aura spells or else you are doomed. Then cast Aura at Irvine and Selphie and always use their Limit Breaks. I think that Selphie's The End works even with bosses, but I'm not 100% sure.
If this doesn't work, then the best solution is to wait until you find Lionheart, and use Renzokuken, with Squall all the time, until he uses Lionheart. However, you find Lionheart later on the game. which means that your other GFs will be higher level than Diablos. Diablos is 5Lv when you get him.

Well, I was 100% sure that somebody told me, that The End works with bosses. I never used it anyway. And if she doesn't have Irvine it doesn't matter. She could use Zell. Anyway. Here is how I beat Diablos, without Aura or anything. I just kept summoning with Squall, Zell and Selphie. Then when my characters had low HP, they were able to use their Limit Breaks. I used Renzokekun with Squall, and Slot with Selphie. Then Selphie's Slot stopped at 2 Ultimas, so I casted them and beated Diablos. I admit that I was lucky, but if the trick with the Demi spells, doesn't work, then you will need lots of luck to beat him.

Thanks for the tips guys. I ended up defeating Diabolos, thank goodness. I was not able to draw any demi from him at all! I tried about four or five times and there was nothing! It failed each time. I gave up on that and used limit breaks and GF's. I got there in the end which is great.
Thank you again!

I believe you can find a few Aura draw points on the Island Closest to Hell. Just wonder around there and press X in random spots and I'm sure you'll eventually find some.
Perhaps this might help.

Does anybody have any handy tricks for defeating the twenty Tonberries. I have beaten two so far. I don't think I had as much trouble last time I played but I don't remember what I did, maybe my characters were stronger or something. I've had a lot of trouble with them so far and it's rather frustrating. They're tough little cookies.

I have a few tips... first of all Diablos... lot's of damage.... and that is one thing you really need to do... DIABLOS DIABLOS DIABLOS
try to give Rinoa a bunch of high powered offensive magic and use angel wing... (meteor=1000+ times 12 dmg)
as for the third member.... I don't have any ideas what you can do with them... I do know this strategy works... but I can't remember what to do with the last guy... haven't done this in a while
this strategy can bring your time down fighting the tonberries by 5 hours.... seriously taking the time of battle down from 10 mins to 5 mins or less helps... obviously

The only character you need really is Squall. Boost his Strenght up as much as you can. Equip him Lion Heart, start the fight with Squall with Yellow HP (Initiative on him woudn't hurt). And have the other 2 character equipped with the Iem Command and a couple of Phoenix Down in supply. I normally kill Tonberry in one Lion Heart.
The End DOES works on Boss

Diablos works like a charm, especially if his levels are up. I never got to thank the people who gave me those very useful tips. Thanks guys! Squall and Diablos both do a very good job at defeating those nasty little Tonberries. They seem to take ages to kill as well which makes it boring and tedious. They are awfully powerful for such little creatures!
