A Guide to Signatures and AvatarsWell, I've noticed some people have had problems with their sigs. The code is quite simple so I'll type out the correct way of adding a banner.

Signatures
You first go to your profile and scroll down to 'Signature'. In there you can add a picture or just plain text.
The code to add an image is: [img] [/img]
You have to get your banner hosted at a site like Imageshack first so you can add the link to the box
Once you get the link, place it in the box as I said before and add the code.
[img]add.picture's.link.here[/img]
If you're still having problems, PM me with the link to your banner and I will do it for you.

As for signatures, I don't want huge pictures in the signature otherwise it makes too much scrolling time for people. Also, they tend to take a long time to load and it would be annoying for people with dial up. (me!) :cry:
Please don't add any offensive material to your signature otherwise you will be warned.

I'm trying to choose the Manchester United avatar from the football list, but it won't stay as my avatar. I choose it and then hit submit but all I get is that gay moogle saying newbie. Please help before I turn gay.

Well for a start, I don't like that term being used about the picture. That's not very nice, it's rather insulting in fact for people here. That picture with the Moogle is called a rank..which I made. That's just the rank you are currently on, it will change as you post.
How are you adding the avatar? If you have it saved onto your computer, go to your profile and down to the bottom, click browse and then find it and then you may upload it. If that doesn't work, it might be because the type of image isn't allowed here. If you are adding it by just adding the link into the specified section, it might be just some sort of error. If it doesn't work for you, I might be able to add it myself.

The avatar I'm trying to use is one from these forums. It is the Manchester United avatar from the football list. I just can't seem to get it to work.

That's rather strange, I got it to work for mine. Perhaps if you try saving it to your computer then adding it by clicking browse, or if you want to find a better logo online somewhere and try that. I'm not sure why it won't work for you, it's quite strange really. Sometimes it does play up though.
Erm, anyway I just added it myself and it appears to be working. I can see it alright anyway. Hopefully it works for you.
