Out of all of the characters in the game, which one would be your favorite? I don't really know if I could decide just yet since I haven't played a lot of the game but so far I like Vaan and Balthier. Vaan is just a kid pretty much but he's enthusiastic about things and never gives up. He cares a lot for his friends and he's quite strong for his age.

Balthier is just cool in my opinion, he is a sky pirate who is brave and doesn't seem to care what anybody thinks about him. His attitude is just awesome! Laughing

All the characters are pretty cool though!

Well in my opinion, I don't have a favorite character though I accept that I am a great fan of the "Judges" of Archades.

They were a great addition to the game's storyline even though this is not the first time that the concept of judges was used in a FF Game, because it was also used in FF Tactices (and I remember another FF game...but I am not sure which one is.....)

i would have to say fran bacause when she goes wild shes realy cool, plus i like her voice and her look is so cool and misterios

Basch was my favorite from the very beginning. Everything that happens to him, and yet he's still willing to keep fighting for Dalmasca. You don't find that kind of strength just anywhere. I think he's an awesome character. Not to mention how insanely powerful he is. It's no wonder they captured him; after the king and Ashe he was the only true threat remaining to them. In my not-so-humble opinion, at least. XD

I like Balthier and Ashe more than the others. Balthier just had a great personality. He was adventurous and a little humourous. As for Ashe, personally, I enjoyed every talk she had with anyone. She was just a nice character to have.

I can't say that Final Fantasy XII didn't have nice characters. Fran, Basch, Penelo and Vaan were great, too. Fran is wise, Basch is fair and brave, while Penelo runs around with Vaan all the time playing like little children.

Basch and Penelo......... kinda opposites but whatever...

Basch was just that guy who is kinda in hiding but at the same time want's everyone to know that he lives............ and He was the first picture i could find before FFXII came out

Penelo Is like super caring....... and SUPER HYPER......... like she cares about vaan so much that she'll do anything for him...... but she still actls like a kid.......... ashe is too serious and fran........ well sh'e pretty cool too......... wierd....... I hate serious but i love FF

till now they look all great, but I just love Penelo!!! Especially cause her attitude was a surprise for me...FF12 really has an original story....or at least from the FFs i played XD

Ashe because she was the seconc femal character I liked not because she was all happy and ditzy and stuff. And yes she could be more kinder to some of the party members she really has a good and nobel heart but its just not in your face that heart of her

Basch he is so sweet even after the setup,2 years in prison,A slap in the face and some looks from Vaan and Ashe that could kill someone
he still is loyal to Ashe now that people is undying---unconditional loyalty and devotion

I love Final Fantasy XII. There's a few things wrong with it, but a lot right about it.

Party,

Vaan 5th - Perhaps as a normal party member he may have been stronger, but to rest the weight of such a big game on such a weak hero was a mistake. The voice acting of Vaan is annoying (reeks of American) and he's generally just not that likeable.

Baltheir 1st - Amongst the best characters ever made in Final Fantasy. Great voice actor, great appearance, great personality and role in the game. One of a few completely flawless characters.

Basch 2nd - Another excellent character. Like Baltheir, great appearance, voice acting, personality and role in the game. Only flaw is that his character is somewhat two dimensional to "Yes Ashe" and "No Ashe".

Penelo 6th - One of the worst characters in the game. Has an unoriginal personality in that shes the cute and physically weak tag along. Says nothing significant in the game. Has a boring appearance and a boring voice actor. A boring character.

Ashe 4th - Is an ok character. Often described as a the long awaited 'Powerful female character'. I recently read the opinions of a fan and agreed with what he said. Ashe never thanks anyone in her party and often ignores their pleas and their advice. Characters like Yuna, Beatrix and Terra are far better as powerful female characters.

Fran 3rd - Hasn't got a huge role in the game. Rarely says alot but is an intriguing character as she is the only non-human in the party. She's great to play with (in battle) and her voice acting suits her character excellently.

Of the Party, Baltheir is the best. However...of the NPCS (Non playable characters)

Larsa - Larsa is such a great character. Though the whole "save Larsa" mentality that carries throughout the game can get tiresome, he is definatley worth the attention as he is a child genius. Great character.

Judge Gabranth - The best of the Npcs, the best of Final Fantasy XII and the Best of Final Fantasy. Almost the best fictional character of all time but for Solid Snake and Han Solo. Gabranth is a completely flawless character. His background story is so well developed, his voice acting and dialogue are SUPERB. He is an 11/10 character.

Judge Ghis - Such a great sub villain. His intentions, actions and appearance make him reek of evil. Voice acting is so well done.

Vossler - Excellent character. Has his own idea of loyalty and becomes irational towards the end. SPOILER It is sad when he is killed.

Reddas - When I first saw him, I thought he was going to be kind of lame, but he turned out to be really cool. Such a great character with a great heart. His voice actor is gifted just like so many of the other characters.

Zargaabath, Drace and Bergan - The three other Judge Magisters that appear in the game are great characters. One is a symbol of power and authority, one exercises complete proffesionalism and the other has heart in what she does.

Ondore - Ondore is a strong character. He Shines well in the final battle where he finally builds the courage to throw away his fake loyalty to the Empire.

Vayne - An Ok Villain, but had the potential to be better if he had met the party once or twice. His journey was interesting. The final battle is a little easy, but enjoyable to win.

Al Cid - Suprisingly cool. Nice to see a French character making an appearance. The contrast between him and Baltheir as womanisers is great.

Cid - A really popular character for some reason. He's good, but is he that good? I thought his general appearance was kind of lame but he has some great dialogue and voice acting. Still, is he the best? Probably not.

The best is Gabranth. Though some party characters are duds, the NPCS are so solid in FF12 (the most solid of the games) that they lift the standard to the highest, giving FF12 tjhe best characters in FF.

Seltox

Fran was my favourite. She is the only non-hume in the party, and you have to think about how difficult this may have been. She was mysterious, and was very 'useful' in the story (all the "the mist is strong here" comments).

I really liked Larsa too. His character is great. He's young and caring, but incredbily intelligent and strong. Willing to bare arms against his loving brother for the sake of what he knows is right.

A note on the voice actors - The voices in the game are annoying at first, as it is true that they lowered the quality of the voices. The game needed to be shrunk in size a tiny bit, and it was the voices that got take back. But after a day or two of playing the game, the, previously noticeable, voice quality doesn't effect you at all.

Penelo was nice. She wasn't that strong, but I though her good with magic. Gayteen had everything I wanted to say in his post. Penelo was kind, caring, strong, and acted like the older sister type of person to Vaan. Nice girl. Nice character.

Second would be Vaan or Balthier. They both had really nice hair. Vaan's reminded me of Cloud's from FFVII and Balthier had that cool slicked back look. Both were nice, but I really just like the hair.
