How many of you would like to see a sequel to this game? Or if not a sequel, what about a remake? I know many people aren't fans of this while others are. What do you think of this idea?

I know this probably won't happen anytime soon... or even at all but would you say yes to any of them if you had the choice? Would Square-Enix be able to pull it off or would they completely ruin it?

As for me, I'm not sure if I would like to see a sequel to the game. I believe they finished the story perfectly to begin with and don't need to carry it on any further.

A remake of the game might be nice, the only thing is that it might spoil the original game for me and that wouldn't be very good at all. I would like to see how great it would look for the PS2 or 3. If they changed the storyline at all, that would be a waste of time for me then.

I'd like to see what everybody else thinks of this idea. :D

Only the idea of playing Final Fantasy VIII again, with better graphics and technically advanced is addictive.
I loved Final Fantasy VIII and its sequel would be my new addiction if it ever came out, as long as it won't be much different than the original Final Fantasy VIII.
And who knows? Square Enix has made so many games aroung Final Fantasy VII, why not make one around Final Fantasy VIII?

Personally, I would love a sequel and a remake! There's so much they could do with a remake, like adding in more SeeD missions, and more background from the others. Like they have a million and one NPCs dedicated to getting Squall and Rinoa's past out there, but there's zip about Selphie, Seifer or any of the others.
I have to agree that changing the storyline, frankly, would suck, because they've done so well with it already, although adding a little to it wouldn't hurt, although even that would probably be kept to the minimal.
Actually, I would rather see the sequel ion movie format. I think X-2 kind of put me off the idea of a gaming sequel.

Can they do it? Probably.

FFVIII would be a great sequel... I remember the first time I beat it.. cause it was the first one I beat... I didn't want it to end.. I'd say it had the best story.. and I fell in love with the story, more than any other FF game. Allthough I have heard some very discouraging rumors... all I can do is hope.... FFVIII was truly awesome in story... and those usualy make the best sequils... So my response to this question.. Is

and I want to see some more of it

the fighting from XII and some stuff from X-2 (missions)

I'm not sure, I'd love to see a film sequel like AC was for FFVII. But I'm not sure that a game would suit... :roll:

I would love to find out what happens after the ending of which I love, it would totally rock!

If they did, they would absolutely NOT put the XII battle theme in, that would spoil the whole game, they have to keep the original and maybe hype it up a bit (as in X-2).

VIII has the best story EVER!!! =] and I never wanted it to end.....sadly it did =[ The way that you become entwined the characters is unique and it has all the elements of real people (like squall & rinoas undying love!), the way that they made it was simply stunning, no other game has affected me this way.....its one of a kind.

Square have made so many sequels and prequels and everything you can possibly do with VII, why not change it for once, and use VIII. I'd like to see if what happens to zell and the library assisstant!

i would like it if it was like their children or something like that but not the same charcaters ya know. have more places to go new people more weapons, modes of transport,magic and summons. just things like that and i think it would be alright

I had no idea about this but they had a Tech Demo for Final Fantasy VIII on the Playstation 2. Apparently not a lot of people knew about it, I will post a link of the video on YouTube for people to watch if they wish.

I like it but it just shows Squall and Rinoa dancing, I think I honestly prefer the original dancing scene, it's a classic. It's cute and funny at the same time. It's certainly an upgrade but I don't see the graphics looking much nicer either.. I guess it is just the PS2 after all. I would love to see a demo for the PS3 because it would look amazing then!

I don't think I really want to see a sequel, I want a remake more.. as long as SE don't change the story around too much!

I'm not expecting a remake to happen though.

Just my opinion but i think FFVIII is the worst FF game. So I think S-E shouldn't make a sequel or remake to this, but spend their time on better, more FF games.
