Most annoying characterHaha, I'm sure we have all got a least favorite character from this game. I know I have one that I can't stand, that would be Irvine. I just disliked his character and found him to be extremely annoying most of the time. All he did was annoy the women and I found him to be a bit of a reject lol. He wussed out when he was supposed to shoot Edea, he goes on to say how he's the best sharp shooter then he wimps out. I couldn't stand him at all.
Selphie was alright but she tended to get on my nerves as well. I didn't hate her character, she brought humour to the game which was cool. Irvine brought frustration to the game in my opinion lol. He thinks he's so great but in my eyes...he certainly isn't!

this is quite funny realy, i know ff8 is my favorate ever but...i hate irvine, rinoa, edea, cid and xu! lol i dunno they just tend to anoy me to death!! lol
well lets start from the beginging,,,irvine - well he's an anoying perv that has no nurv and is the biggest chicken i've ever seen!
rinoa - i thought she was childish and anoying, some of her behavure in the begging was quite random and pointless, and then twords the end when shes like "o i feel like i get left behind"...! o she does ma head in!
edea - well dunnop what it is i think they just mad her lok a bit stupid, i mean i like the klong gown ect..but whats with the horns?
cid - he was just a wimp, always being bossed around or hiding, but usaly just crying...looser..
xu - dunno she just tends to randomly tgern up and be an idiot, i mean what kind of name is that anyway?

It seems to be a variation of the Chinese name Xue, which means "snow". Or possibly a variation of Xiu, also Chinese, meaning "elegant, beautiful".
I found Rinoa to be aggravating. She had, in my opinion, a weak, childish personality which I was not fond of at all. I got very tired of her whiny attitude very fast.
Selphie was way too cheerful for me. I'm not a particularly cheerful person, nor do I care to be around them. Selphie was no exception.
Other than that, I'm pretty neutral about the majority of the characters.

mine wud prolly be...quistis...probably because in the scene where she isn't squall's leader or something anymore she gets all weird....

I absolutely could'nt stand Irvine...thinks he's a lady's man and all
and then i could'nt stand Quistis....
I just found both of them to be very annoying

I'm afraid that this doesn't exist. Everything on FFVIII was perfect. You couldn't even find the villains annoying or your enemies. I mean Fujin and Raijin were badass to fight, and yet everybody loves them. Same for Safer.
So I'm afraid that I loved everyone :shake:

Irvine, somehow I think that he is too annoying with his fake lone wolf attitude. Come on Irvine thinks he is a ladies man and the truth is that he most of the time ends up being rejected.

I like irvines charachter, hes not the bad guy here. Irvine probally had too much charachter to portray him in the first place. I would choose Squall, his screwed-up childhood confused and discomforted others around him.

None really intensely irritated me. I'm suprised so many said Irvine! I love him! Haha.
If I -had- to choose, I might say Quistis. I don't even know exactly what it was about her. She had her funny moments, and her nice moments... I don't know. I think maybe it's because so many of the other characters had these amazingly strong characters compared to her, you know? That could have something to do with it.

I thought these 2 were more then just the most annoying FFVIII chrs, but they were the most annoying FF chars period... more annoying then Brother

More annoying then Brother? I don't think I can agree with that haha. Raijin was certainly annoying every time he said 'ya know' but be grateful that they didn't have voices like in X so you didn't have to hear it over and over again! Fujin wasn't that bad really, she was more interesting than Raijin anyway in my opinion.
A lot of people seem to dislike Irvine, I don't blame you actually lol. He's not that bad but is pretty annoying with his attitude! He thought he was a real ladies man when all the ladies did was find him repulsive (except Selphie of course).

FF8 has the worst characters, but it's still a good game, it's characters just suck though. Irvine is such a weak character, built entirely on the fact that he's a poor womaniser. Wow, that's hugely original. Reminds me a little of Brock from the old pokemon animes.
Zell was cool at first, but his hyper activeness gets annoying. I cant think of one hyperactive character I like.
Selphie is just a tag along who's little nun chuks are useless. lol. I know I'm being harsh but I just had to read a whole thread about why Adevent Children was so good.

for me it would have to be Rinoa.
i replayed the game about a month ago and really hated her. i avoided using her as much as i could.
when it came to the final battle i was given her and to my horror i was never able to kill her off. so i finished the game with her.
i was very angry about it.
