What did you think of Seymour? *Possible Spoilers*Some people love him and some people hate him. What's your opinion on the man who never seems to go away.
I found him to be quite evil. He killed his father which is something I consider to be truly evil! I wasn't a fan of his character overall. He was intelligent though and made the game very interesting at times. He tried to marry Yuna which was pretty bad as well. He wanted to rule over all but he never got there in the end lol.
He never seemed to disappear, I can't even remember how many times I fought him in the game haha. He was quite difficult at times too. It took me a few times to defeat him the first time.
What do you think of Seymour? Did you like him? Loathe him? Or did you think he was okay?

I didn't like him at all. What really ticked me off is when he tried forcing Yuna to marry him, even though she agreed, she was forced by peer pressure.

*ahem*
i fell in love with Lord Seymour from the moment he died. i love the fact that he is unknowingly evil, how he thinks he is doing good. i dont know how 2 describe it. i guess i'd call it a strange kind of...evil innocence.
i think its a shame he was twisted by such a horrible childhood. he never learnt to express his emotions in a decent way. his plot to kill humanity, which sounds evil, was his way of saving us. he didnt want us to hurt anymore. i think its comparable to suicide. people commit suicide because they are alone, depressed, scared. seymour saw us like this, and since he is virtually emotionless, he saw our emotions as a flaw, and painfull burden. he wanted us to be at peace. the only way he saw of doing this was death. he didnt know he was doing the wrong thing. he was doing what he thought was right. i feel what he feels really clearly, and i dont see why everybody else doesnt. i see him as a desparate person trying to rid the world of pain. helluin said that his childhood was no excuse to kill a well respected man and many others, but you must see that he is mentally insane! in his mind he was ridding his father of pain. a person with schitzophrenia cannot control it. they think what they see is real. apply this to seymour. it isnt his fault he is twisted and insane. i must say though, even after all of that, sometimes i jsut wanted to stangle him. like at the wedding. poor yuna. he pretty much forsed a kiss apon her. and we all know he wouldve gone further. that wouldve been unforgivable. and although i sometimes love him and sometimes hate him, most of all i think he needs alot of hugs (and perhaps a rubber room). and he was just plain gorgeous. i myself being a hair product and big hair ADDICT absolutely loved the hair! oo! and the hands!! something about them... people diss the clothes but this is final FANTASY. i overall think he's a great bad guy. he is in no way ''badass'' but i always look forward to fighting him. he was just the most in depth character. long live the memory of Lord Seymour!!

well I would say Seymour is my least favorite FFX char, but still like any char I don't like, contributed to the storyline, Seymour is one of thos chars I love to hate. He was great, but even some great people are evil. I think that Seymour deserves in a grave, but deserves praise for storyline
just letting you know, finalfantasyxRuLeS I may not be a mod, but I can still say, add more content to your posts please

I loved Seymour, really. To me, he was the most interesting character in Final Fantasy X. He had such an intricate and sad past, I really did feel sorry for him, and cried on certain occasions.
I really do hate it how people misunderstand him for being simply power hungry and evil. He wasn't evil. Not at all. He was insane, but with good intentions. He saw our suffering, and having been isolated for a large period of his life, did not understand that there are also good things in life on Spira, and saw death as the only way to end the suffering. Which when you think about it, it was.
Although admittedly I went overboard in my obsession with him when I first played the game. When I fought him, I used to never use aeons, and always heal him the same amount if I healed myself, and always let him win once first before thrashing him ><
....I totally don't have issues.
But yeah, I love him. He's my favourite game character.

I thought that he was ok. He got pretty annoying by the end of the game though. I liked him at the beginning, but as the game progressed, I started liking him less and less. He was also a pretty hard boss.

Seymour was once my favourite (I went through a period of hating Sephiroth after encountering a horde of his fanboys) but I eventually convinced myself that Sephiroth is still a great character, despite how many people obsess over him.
Anyway back to Seymour. Seymours a great character. He has a very interesting reason for why he is evil. Why's Sephiroth evil? He wants to become powerful. Why's Ultemcia evil? Wants to take over the world. However, Seymour's quest to "Give Spira pleasant death" is so dark and eery that it makes him a great character. As Al_Bhed_Pyscho said really well, he beleives that he's doing something right, which is proof as to how dilluted he is.
If it werent for all that, his boss battles, general appearance and voice acting are excellent. I'd place him as the third best FF Villain.

Seymour...one of the most insane antagonists I've seen yet. Okay, so he wanted to destroy everything and everyone because that was how it was supposed to be. So he wanted to become Sin so that he could do all the destroying himself. At least he cared. Seymour Guado was just trying to fix things and do what he saw was right. If you are right in your mind, but wrong in others', what are you?
Insane.
He may have had good intentions, but the man had issues. If someone thinks destruction, pain, and suffering is the basis if all and that that basis needs to be maintained, that someone's a little wacky.
I didn't hate Seymour. He was just a little annoying...a little because I had a hard time beating his various forms. Other than that, he added a little spice to the FFX that all games need. He was fine. Not wonderful. Not horrible. Just an interesting guy to see.
