Who is your favourite Final Fantasy VIII character?As the title of the thread says, who is your favourite Final Fantasy VIII character?
For me, it would have to be either Squall or Rinoa. They had a very special relationship between themselves and I thought it was wonderful how Rinoa changed Squall completely by the end of the game. Squall was quiet and cold at the start but by the end he opened up and even smiled for the first time in ages. Squall was also very brave and didn't let anything stand in his way. Rinoa was a sweet girl with a kind personality. She was also lively, as well as Selphie!

Squall all the way I say. He went from a cold soldier to a human being with emotions feelings and friends. You could see him slowly see him change through the game and be the person he ended up as. That's the main reaon why I'd go with Squall, other than his awesome gunblade and limit break.

hmm...i think that zel is just ace!!! but squalls wepon the gun blade is just so cool!! :D i'm not sure about the change of squalls carictor through the game...i mean i was getting a bit bored of the costant w/e to every anser, but then i do think he was a bit over obsesive when rinoa fell into a coma.....lol so w/e either way the game rocks!!!!

I liked Squall AND Rinoa.I chose Squall though,probably just because hes the main character and you know alot more about him then most of the characters.

Between Quistis and Irvine for me. Irvine is really cool with his cowboy style but in the end Quistis won cus shes better looking.lol.

hm sorry to go a littel of subject but how can computer carictors be cute and attractive? it just confuses, me!! lol, erm ye i like quistis 2 (but not like that) and selphie rocks!!

Well, seriously, I can't make up my mind. My fav characters in FFVIII, are Squall Leonhart, Rinoa Heartilly and Selphie Tilmitt. I just can't say that I like someone more. Squall's personality was weird, but I believe he is the most interesting character, of all the FFs I've played. Rinoa, was really friendly, and I loved her. As for Selphie, she was really cute and always haooy. Many people found her annoying, but I liked her. Also, those are the three characters I use in my party.

i agree with u, selthie rocks, she was always a plesher to watrch and control, lol. and i also agree about the squall thing, he is the deepest caractor in all tye final fantays.

I know a lot of people who can't stand Rinoa. It's kind of sad really, I thought she was a great character. They thought she was whingy and too annoying. I never thought that at all! She was a very good character in my opinion. She was the one who changed Squall into a nicer person. Without her, the game wouldn't have been as good.

i totally agree! i know i usally just hate her but on occashion she just seems really cool, i love her wepon, and her achual caractor is qinda qerky but in a gd way, u know? plus if she get squall all cool and popular then i say more rinoa!! lol.

Squall because of the gunblade. I liked every detail of that sword and I would like to have a real one. *sighs*

Squall's Gunblade is awesome, my favourite weapon from the entire series actually. It has a unique look compared to all those swords in other games. It's quite powerful too.
Squall had such an ignorant personality at first and that's why a lot of people didn't like him. They claim him to be 'Emo' and such but didn't you see how his personality changed by the end of the game? He became happy and more caring of his friends. He didn't stay cold and mean, he was a great character.
Rinoa was another great character because she was basically the one who changed Squall. It was really nice! Quistis was very helpful, as was Selphie. They were an awesome cast of characters!

Rinoa all the Way!!My favorite character was Rinoa. I really enjoyed her personality and thought that the whole Rinoa x Squall romance was really cute. ^_^ Besides her though I also liked Squall and Selphie. Squall because he had a really complex personality at the beginning of the game and Selphie because I loved her optimism and the way she got excited when you get to blow up that Missle base. "BOOOM!!!" lol ^_^ :P

Raijin and Fujin were my favorite characters.
I very much like how their characters were developed in the game and I deeply respected the fact that even though they knew what was right, they stayed absolutely loyal to Seifer.

This one's hard for be without a multi-choice poll, because FFVIII was actually my favourite game character-wise. Best out of any game, I think. So full of life and personality. I sat there looking at that poll for several minutes kinda thinking "I'll put Selphie... No, Rinoa... No, Zell.. No, Irvine... ... Etc.".
Eventually I just put Irvine, out of complete indecisiveness, I guess. But he would be one of my all-time favourites from this game. He had a sence of humour, and he was strong in battle, and he was sexah [=P] and... He had an awesome hat! *has bought one off Ebay*
Then there's Selphie... I love this girl, lol. She's so cute and bubbly, and flirty... I just love her.
...I like all of them XD
