Worst Final Fantasy game?

Do you have a least favorite Final Fantasy game? Was there just one that could not entertain you in any way. Was there something in the game that complete annoyed you? Or was it just plain confusing?

My least favorite would probably be V. It was alright but I just couldn't get into it like the other games. It had some really nice moments in it but I just thought it wasn't the greatest. It's a little bit too difficult for my liking, I couldn't get through one battle so I ended up just leaving it lol. I haven't played it again since. I did like parts of it, the storyline was quite good but it was kind of slow at times. I liked the characters in it though, they were pretty cool.

I bet a lot of people will say Final Fantasy X-2 as their least favorite lol. I know many people don't like that one very much. I do though, I find it to be pretty awesome.

I did not find IV to be confusing at all! I thought the storyline was simple and easy to understand. I liked how it all worked, it had a nice storyline and great cast of characters.

I found V to be quite dull at times. It was entertaining but it lacked in its storyline in my opinion. I did not like it as much as the other Final Fantasy games...that's probably why I stopped playing it! :-P It did have some great moments, like when Faris turns out to be a woman and not a man lol. Very interesting..

My least favorite Final Fantasy game is none other than Final Fantasy II (as in Final Fantasy Origins), especially the original Famicom/NES version, but it is far from being my least favorite game ever. One thing is that monster who guards a treasure chest at Castle Pandaemonium, who is now known as Beelzebub. I did not really like the storyline of the game, especially the destruction of some of the towns. The leveling system is time-consuming.

*looks around suspiciously* I always think I'm gonna get lynched for saying this...

FFX.

I just don't like that game. To quote myself:

Quote:
I suppose this was partly due to the fact that in more recent FFs like VII and IX, you had all these choices as to what to say and do in certain situations, but in X they seem to regress back to "You do and say what we tell you to." Then you realize that FFX isn't a game. That's right, FFX isn't a game. It's a somewhat interactive movie. Think about it.

Take two steps, watch an FMV, take two more steps, watch an FMV, fight a few battles, watch an FMV. If it takes forty hours to beat, you probably are only actually playing about ten or fifteen of those hours. Always with the FMV's. Your supposed to play a game not watch it.

This whole thing is excacerbated by the games linearity. No world map. Just a long road connecting each city. You get to a city, watch a bunch of FMV's, maybe fight a boss, then walk to the next one and do it all over again. You can't just wander around looking for trouble. And you can beat the game without ever going to any particular place more than once.

Then you get the Airship, and yay, you get to fly that around and find all sorts of hidden stuff, right? Wrong. Instead of being able to roam the world in your shiny new airship like in every other FF game, you have thissucky map that you have to run a curser over pressing a button hoping to stumble onto something. While choosing destinations from a list. It's just not the same. In every other game getting the airship was one of the great highlights, but in X, noooo.

Then there's the characters. I can't stand Tidus, he's a girly, cry baby...man. And I hated Seymore. But not in the "Damn you, Salazar!! :Grr: " great villain kinda way. More, the "get your hands off my girl!" kinda way. Not that i liked Yuna. If I may quote myself:

Quote:
Yeah that's right, Yuna. I'm sorry! What's wrong with that girl? I'm sorry! Always running around apologizing to people. I'm sorry! Every five seconds. I'm sorry! You could bitchslap her and she'd say, " I'm sorry! How dare I strike your hand with my face! Please forgive me, FORGIVE ME, for the love of god!!!"

I quote myself on occasion because I have a habbit of writing such long winded posts and I see no reason to rewrite my opinion on the same topics when I've already covered them to satisfaction elsewhere.

Worst Final Fantasy? That doesn't exist. Less good, yes. Not good, no.

Well, and the ones that I don't like that much are FFVII and FFX.

Both of them for their storyline, but not only for that. I didn't really like the Materia in FFVII, but, it was a good RPG. Not the best, but good. Less good than the other FF, though.

As for FFX, I didn't really like the personalities of the main characters, as well as the Sphere Grid. I didn't find it interesting at all. More like boring. It would be much more better with the normal, Lv-up system.

That's all!! ;)

I kinda hated the way FFX was so linear, and FFX2 was a dissapointment

Final Fantasy X and X-2 are massively underrated, but X-2 is more underrated than X. I hate when people criticize Final Fantasy X for having no world map and Final Fantasy X-2 for its T&A content.

For me it was FF Crystal Chronicals, for the gamecube. The beginning was entertaining but it seemed to fizzle out and seemed pretty pointless and frustrating; collecting all the crystal water in the cup around the lands.
After countless hours of nearly scratching my eyes out, I gave up on it and it currently sits at the bottom of my shelf. Although, looking back on the times I was playing on it, Im not sorry I gave up.
NKOW ANIMA

Sephiroth the Dark Angel

FF-X-2, the Characters and the story were good, but Yuna - a summoner who can't summon any more?  Where's the fun in that?!
